Legal services for Illinois residents living with disabilities. Assistance offered with issues including abuse investigations, elimination of barriers to buildings and programs, community integration, employment discrimination based on disability, transportation.

Legal information and representation for children and adults with disabilities living in mental health facilities, residential programs, community placements, or nursing homes. Issues addressed include (but not limited to) admission and discharge from hospitalization, adequate treatment, refusal of unwanted services, and confidentiality of mental health records.

Investigates alleged violations of the rights of persons with disabilities by providers of services, as the investigative arm of the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission.

Services include reducing barriers to essential services, technical assistance, and assisting families in accessing educational services and/or residential treatment.
