ADA Paratransit and Dial-a-Ride are run by private or public contractors. Reservations can be made starting on Thursday for the following week. You may also book with at least one day’s notice, or as directed by Pace. Same-day rides may be allowed only if there’s room in the schedule, and they are not guaranteed.

Transportation to and from medical, dental, vision and hearing appointments. Vehicles are not wheelchair accessible. An optional fee is suggested for each ride. A maximum of 2 round-trip medical appointment rides allowed in a week.

Free public transit permits to ride on the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra and Pace.

Ventra passes; gas cards to help clients get to and from work, to job interviews or doctors appointments. On limited basis.

Helps people share rides (carpool) or ride together more formally in vans (vanpool) instead of driving alone. Pace provides the van, maintenance, insurance, and gas for vanpools.

Gas vouchers provided. Part of the Immediate Assistance Program (IAP).

Provides vouchers for gasoline

Rides for older adults and people with disabilities living in DuPage County. Re-registration is required annually.

Provides gas cards to purchase fuel for automobiles.

Bus passes for qualifying older adults.

Free and reduced fare programs for riding on CTA, Metra and Pace fixed bus and rail service

Registration for Ride DuPage and Reduced Fare RTA/Pace/Metra programs for residents with disabilities and older adults.

Wheelchair accessible transportation for seniors in DuPage County. Can travel outside of DuPage County and throughout Chicago area.

Ride DuPage provides transportation for eligibility residents from their home to any location in DuPage County

Free medical flights for non-emergency medical needs. The planes are flown by general aviation pilots who own their own plane.

Veterans Administration (VA) travel reimbursement and assistance program. Various forms of transportation available for veterans travelling to and from the VA for health care purposes. Also provides shuttle bus service from Aurora and Hoffman Estates VA offices to Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital.

Subsidized Taxi Fare program.

Ride DuPage provides curb-to-curb transportation service from home to any location within DuPage County for those living with disabilities.

Ride DuPage program for residents 65 years and older

Free rides on fixed-route transit systems through the Seniors Ride Free Transit Benefit and the Persons with Disabilities Ride Free Transit Benefit programs.

Provides rides throughout the community and select surrounding towns

Helps plan trips using public transportation through online tools and phone support.

Reduced fare permits to ride with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra, and Pace.

Transportation via a van to and from the homes of Senior Center members.
