Eligibility
Must be able to show a need for housing, such as the current home is overcrowded, unsafe, or too expensive; Must demonstrate the ability to pay, such as having a stable work history, manageable debt load, absence of liens; Must invest a minimum of 250 hours of "sweat equity" for each applicant and co-applicant; Live or work in Illinois; Meet income guidelines (available at https://www.chicagolandhabitat.org/)
